2023 Nero D’Avola from the Fernow Ranch in Lodi. This is our first vintage of Nero D’Avola, a glass staining Sicilian varietal. Sicilians have coined this indigenous grape as the “most important red wine in Sicily” and we can see why. Dusty brambly cherry is brightened by an acid structure similar to ruby red grapefruit. Tobacco spice and leather give way to chewy tannins.
