2022 Uh Oh Cuvée

Rosé

The 2022 Uh Oh is a blend of 50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Riesling. The Cabernet Franc went through primary fermentation on it’s own before being blended into the still fermenting Riesling. The Cab Franc adds delicious notes of red fruit, on top of more complex earthy and vegetal notes. Combined with the bright citrus flavors from the Riesling, this blend creates an incredibly refreshing and crushable light red wine for any spring and summer occasion. Drink chilled. We called this wine Uh Oh in honor of our daughter who intentionally stirs up trouble but yells out “Uh Oh” so that we all know to expect something wild. You’re about to have some fun even if you don’t know it yet.

The 2022 Uh Oh Pet Nat is the same blend as the Uh Oh Cuvée (50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Riesling). The Cabernet Franc went through primary fermentation on it’s own before being blended into the still fermenting Riesling. The Cab Franc adds delicious notes of red fruit, on top of more complex earthy and vegetal notes. Combined with the bright citrus flavors from the Riesling, this blend creates an incredibly refreshing and crushable sparkling wine for any celebratory day or night. Drink chilled. 2022 Tickle Tickle

Riesling

The 2022 Tickle Tickle is 100% Riesling that spent 3 weeks fermenting on it’s skins. Tickle Tickle was a surprise wine for us this year after ending up with some extra Riesling from our Uh Oh blend. We wanted all of our wines this year to push our Shed Heads to try something unique, so we decided to give this wine an extra zing by making it a skin contact wine, as well as a pet nat. What we created is a burst of sunshine in a glass. Bright and refreshing like our other Rieslings, but also herbaceous and delightfully sharp from the skin tannins. When it is long past bedtime and we’re exhausted from trying to get our baby to sleep, she likes to reach out with her tiny little hands and say “tickle tickle”. We hope this playful wine tickles a little bit of joy out of you when you need it most.

2023 Leave the Door Open

Cabernet Franc

The 2023 Leave the Door Open is a blend of 70% Cabernet Franc and 30% La Crescent. Both the CF and the LC were fermented on native yeasts separately, before being blended together. The CF delivers classic notes of earthy red fruit and spices, while the LC layers in a tropical brightness that makes this wine so unique. The combination creates an aromatic bouquet of orange blossoms, bright stone fruit on the palette, followed by a dry and refreshing finish.

2023 Sit Talk

Chardonnay

MI - Lake Michigan Shore

The 2023 is our first take on a Chardonnay and we made it the way we love to drink it – light, bright, and very elegant. Sit Talk is the definition of a crisp white made for popping open mid day to accompany some fresh fish or oysters. At only 10.5% alcohol by volume, you can indulge without carrying the weight of your picnic lunch around with you the rest of the day. We believe that this wine solidifies Michigan Chardonnay as a natty wine staple.

2023 My Friend Pan

Pinot Noir Rosé

MI - Leelanau Peninsula

Whole cluster pinot noir was pressed immediately in the hopes of creating a white wine from the red grape. Over time the color dropped until it reached a beautiful pale pink and Pan decided that was the right shade. We took Pan to bottle with the tiniest amount of residual sugar still left to ferment, which created a dry rose with a delicate effervescence.

2023 Bucket Red Blend

Cabernet Franc

MI - Michigan
Alcohol 11.3%
Our 2023 Bucket is a blend of 50% Cabernet Franc, 45% Chardonnay, and 5% Pinot Gris. All three varietals were fermented on their native yeasts separate from one another, before being blended and stored in neutral french oak barrels for 6 months. When we started Shed Wine in Michigan, we had hoped to find a way to make a “glou glou” of the kind you can expect in a warmer climate like California. This has proven to be a challenge, but in comes Bucket so save the day. The combination of Cab Franc and Chardonnay creates a soft and juicy chillable red, but the addition of a small amount of skin fermented Pinot Gris brings this wine to life. This is our favorite wine yet!
