Cabernet Franc

Our 2023 Bucket is a blend of 50% Cabernet Franc, 45% Chardonnay, and 5% Pinot Gris. All three varietals were fermented on their native yeasts separate from one another, before being blended and stored in neutral french oak barrels for 6 months. When we started Shed Wine in Michigan, we had hoped to find a way to make a “glou glou” of the kind you can expect in a warmer climate like California. This has proven to be a challenge, but in comes Bucket so save the day. The combination of Cab Franc and Chardonnay creates a soft and juicy chillable red, but the addition of a small amount of skin fermented Pinot Gris brings this wine to life. This is our favorite wine yet!
