We filled 2 American oak barrels with our signature Blueberry Wine to create a new version of the best-selling fruit varietal. The oaked version of our blueberry wine has a deeper color blue/violet and heavier body, no doubt from the tannis gained through oak contact. The aroma of oak at first pass is delicate, but gets enhanced upon exhale and the oak flavor adds complexity. The aging process also created a deeper, more complex flavor profile that rounds out its higher ABV and sweetness. This is how a refined blueberry wine ought to be.
