Bella Vita is composed of 94% Sangiovese, the dominant grape in the famous Italian wine region, Chianti. If we were making this wine in that region, we would have called it Chianti, but when it is made in NH, from California grapes, we call it “Bella Vita” - the good life! This grape presented itself as a rather thin-skinned, sensitive grape that we produced in a more Italian way, fruit-forward, and lighter bodied. It is has a spicy nose with a savory finish and a balanced mid-palate. This would be the perfect wine to drink with a brick-oven, tomato and mozzarella pizza.
