When the property was originally purchased, a chicken coop was located in place of our current tasting room. After a long day of planting our first vines, the Schram's and neighbor volunteers would retreat to the chicken coop to enjoy a well deserved glass of wine. Eventually neighbors and friends coined the term "Roost de Rouge" in honor of their local hangout. Aged for 36 months in French oak barrels, this blend of Sangiovese and Malbec has notes of back cherry, plum, vanilla and walnut.
