The blend of softness with a touch of acid makes it a great food pairing wine as well as a stand-alone white for drinking. Schram Vineyards was one of the first wineries in the world to release an Itasca wine as this is a new grape from the University of Minnesota. VARIETALS: Itasca NOSE: Fresh lemongrass, melon, and citrus tea with a soft butterscotch accent PALATE: Pear, white flower, minerality, melon and a touch of honeysuckle. COLOR: Light yellow gold PAIRINGS: Shellfish, poultry or burrata cheese
