Our Bonfire wine was inspired by a long standing tradition at the vineyard of hosting a Bonfire to celebrate our harvest season every October. This blend has grapes of Marquette and Cabernet Sauvignon and has taste characteristics representative of its namesake - a big, dry, fuller bodied wine.
The goal of this wine is to find a perfect blend of Vinifera and Hybrid fruit. We use Cabernet Sauvignon from the Lodi & Sonoma region of California and Marquette from the Prior Lake region of Minnesota.
VARIETALS: Cabernet Sauvignon, Marquette
NOSE: A nice spicey overture with raspberry, vanilla, and white oak
PALATE: The spice transfers from the aroma to the palate with the addition of black currant (Cassis), a medium body and smokey undertones
PAIRINGS: Beef, pot roast, mushrooms, sharp cheeses
