Autumnal & a walnut nuttiness aromas combined with a silky & rich body add to the vibrant dried apricot and turkish fig flavor. Naturally dry with a full body, & high strength toastiness give this dessert wine a round feel on the palate.
Grown with a focus on sustainability. These grapes are farmed on alluvial soils mixed with larger volcanic strata. A properly managed, umbrella like canopy allows for just the right air flow and dappled sunlight onto the clusters to achieve maximum quality. The soils of the vineyard site enhances the expression of character for each variety and lends to the uniqueness of the wine.
Aged open air under the Grand Mesa in a rare solera program using local distillery barrels. A unique blend of grapes starting with the 2019 vintage are intentionally oxidized & fortified with neutral grape spirit. The barrels are filled at only 80% full, & are subject to open elements and vast temperature fluctuations. This oxidative style of dessert wine is inspired by Olorosso sherry from the Jerez and Montilla-Moriles areas in Spain.
