Planted in 1974 by renowned biologist Burney Le Boeuf, a pioneer in elephant seal research, the stunning Le Boeuf Vineyard is now farmed organically by Sandar & Hem. The old and gnarled Chardonnay vines reach down deep into the gently-sloped decomposed granite soils, transmitting a complexity and structure that speaks true to the site.
This Chardonnay has striking aroma of orange blossom and a beautiful mineral impression framed by a zingy acidity that is at once both refreshing and profound.
