Tasting Notes: Slightly restrained and brooding at initial opening, this wine quickly opens up and becomes much more expressive in the glass. Resinous tones of wet moss and gravel. Brown spices in the nose, bolstered by ripe plums, figs and black fruit. Flavors of blackberry and currant preserves, with more subtle components of dried fruit and hay. Fleshy texture mid-palate, followed by slightly drying fine tannins and modest acidity that lengthen and expand the finish.
