Patrimonio translates from the Italian as Legacy or Heritage. The label of Patrimonio is of the father of Jay, Barbara and Tina Raffaldini. The wine is crafted in an older world style, more similar to the wonderful Napa style Cabernets made by Italian pioneering wine making families who settled in California over a century ago. The wine is quite complex and brooding with earthy dusty aromatics and refined tannins that will gradually evolve over the next ten to fifteen years. This blend of Sagrantino, Montepulciano and Petit Verdot relies heavily on the Appassimento drying process and comes from our best vineyard blocks. It is the highest expression of all that we do at Raffaldini Vineyards and is only made when all of our stars align.
