Teroldego is a red wine variety originating in the cool-climate, mountainous Trentino region of northern Italy. There it is considered to be an ancient variety, but for us here in the Lake Erie Region, it is an exciting new varietal. This vintage expresses lovely deep color and robust fruit characteristics supported by a light tannin structure from maturing in new French oak barrels for 11 months.
This exquisite vintage has earned a gold medal and 91 Points at the 2022 Eastern International Wine Competition and has been selected as Best Pennsylvania Red Wine at Pennsylvania's Top 10 Wines Competition.
Serve at cool room temperature with Italian fare (of course!) and other rustic, hearty dishes.
