NEW WINE!! The second of our Special 50th Anniversary Series Wines A harbinger is a herald of the future; an originator of change. As we look forward to our next 50 years, we continue the quest started by our founder, Doug Moorhead, for varieties that fit and thrive in our region's terroir and produce memorable wines. Several Austro-German varieties are proving to be happy transplants to our Lake Erie vineyards and will be the source of many exceptional wines in the years to come, creating a unique signature for our region. Härbinger, the second wine of our 50th Anniversary Special Edition Series, is a blend of three of these new varieties – Dornfelder, Zweigelt, and Regent – and celebrates the mastery achieved in our first 50 years and the promise of the next 50. Härbinger is deeply-colored and full-bodied with an initial burst of dried orange peel followed by dark berries. Light oak and firm tannins round out the flavor profile to give the wine a well-balanced structure. A versatile wine with any meal, especially as a counterpoint to grilled meats and roasted vegetables.
