This Concord-Niagara blend is a customer favorite here at Presque Isle Wine Cellars and it seems a favorite of competition judges as well. Our sweet, grapey fusion offers a perfect marriage of classic white and red Vitis labrusca flavors and aromas. We ferment local grapes for a light color and body that suits any wine-drinking occasion. Beautiful Twelve Mile Creek cascades by our winery. One of our favorite and most loyal visitors is a great blue heron that flies gracefully along the creek bed, stopping to fish in the waterfalls and wade in scattered pools. Our frequent flyer—majestic while at the same time quirky and whimsical—has become the inspiration for our Blue Heron series of blended sweet wines. Native Vitis labrusca grapes are used to honor their long history as the mainstay of the vineyards of Lake Erie. Enjoy chilled with appetizers, light picnic foods, everyday meals and good friends.
