The grapes were picked from our 19 years old vines on September 25th 2022. The berries were ripe with an elevated sugar content of 24.8 brix. As usual for all our red grapes, they were delicately sorted before and after the destemmer. The maceration was short in order to extract the softer tannins only. The wine was aged 18 months in French oak barrels to enhance chocolate - tobacco- flavors to the natural blue-fruit aromas.
