Vineyard/winemaking Notes: The soil type/rootstock relationship of our clone couldn’t be much better than that in our Smuggler vineyard. The wine is produced as a single varietal wine aged in French oak for eighteen months and has an exciting deep red color with violet hues. Tasting Notes: Intense fruit reveals layers of ripe cherry, dark fruit and sweet oak on the nose. Rich fig and spiced plum dance on the palate giving way to sweet and smoky tannins. This is a well balanced wine which leaves a mouthwatering finish.
