This wine presents itself with a golden yellow color and pale hue. Seductive aromas of pineapple, Asian pear, and citrus are balanced with honeysuckle creamy oak. Flavors of pear and exotic fruits are backed with lively acidity. The creamy palate has a lingering finish with satisfying richness.
The wine was entirely fermented in French oak, a blend of both new and neutral barrels. 50% was fermented with native yeasts and selected yeast strains were used on the balance to achieve a dynamic palate and structure, reflective of our terroir and varietal preference.
This wine is intended to be crisp and elegant with flavors of bright vibrant lime, green apple, quince and passion fruit. Without the tannic structure from oak aging or extended skin contact, this wine is approachable for both new and experienced wine lovers.
This rosé is packed with fresh aromas of Strawberry Rhubarb jam that is backed by white pepper spice. Luscious ripened berries give way to Rhubarb flavors that bring a vibrant acidity and excellent mouth feel to the palate.
Complex nose, smooth, rich and silky, this handcrafted wine finds its center around a deep core of blackcurrant, black cherry and sweet raspberry fruit. Spice, cedar and earth notes add complexity, but it is the generous fruit and supple texture that anchor the mid-palate. Produced in a Bordeaux style.
Unfined and unfiltered
This powerful wine is extremely opaque in color and has aromas of ripe berry and plum that fill the glass. It is concentrated on the palate with a rich jammy flavor and hints of earthiness which combine to create a long lingering finish.
This wine has a bright ruby color with fragrances of pomegranate, cherry jam and fresh cracked pepper. On the palate one experiences soft impressions of ripe blackberry and cassis while dark cocoa flavors mingle with a velvety textured finish.
This wine continues our tradition of making a red blend based upon careful selection of barrels from each of the three varietals. We begin a blind tasting of different proportions of varietals in November after the individual wines have completed 12 months in barrel using 60% new French oak and 40% neutral barrels. Based on the selected mix, varietals are blended and barrel aged another 5 months. This blend was aged in bottle an additional 13 months prior to being released, permitting the various components to come together for a nuanced flavor.
Vineyard/winemaking Notes: The soil type/rootstock relationship of our clone couldn’t be much better than that in our Smuggler vineyard. The wine is produced as a single varietal wine aged in French oak for eighteen months and has an exciting deep red color with violet hues.
Tasting Notes: Intense fruit reveals layers of ripe cherry, dark fruit and sweet oak on the nose. Rich fig and spiced plum dance on the palate giving way to sweet and smoky tannins. This is a well balanced wine which leaves a mouthwatering finish.
Produced in a Bordeaux style, this wine presents a full bodied, opulent feel in the mouth with silky tannins and sound acidity to frame blackcurrant, black cherry and leather flavors. This wine is impeccably balanced and leaves a mouthwatering finish. It is approachable now, but will gain complexity with additional aging in your cellar.
This port of Viognier presents a nose of candied apricot, honey, fig, hazelnut and stone fruit, all attributable to the strong Viognier base. Intense and invigorating peach and citrus flavors fill the palate to maintain a distinct acidity. The sweetness is not overpowering and perfectly balanced by the structure of the oak and flavor of brandy.
