Sourced from a small, well-tended hillside estate close to the cooling influence of the Carquinez Strait, this cabernet sauvignon is loaded with varietal character yet on the more delicate end of the cabernet spectrum. Aging for 20 months in French oak enhances the body and complexity of the wine. Exquisitely balanced!
This is a medium bodied vintage from a 26 year old head pruned vineyard located on the outskirts of central Sonoma. This is a dry and not particularly jammy vintage which has mild spiciness with low tannins and is well balanced with medium acidity. It will reward with decanting or cellaring.
A warmer and drier growing season in 2020 resulted in a similar yield but a different character of wine compared to the 2019. Though the 2020 vintage shares in a similar tannic structure as the 2019 contributed by 30% new French oak, there are more robust earthy notes of leather, forest floor and cranberry compared to the 2019 vintage.
Our 2021 sauvignon blanc is sourced from the Gianquinto Vineyard in the Russian River. The wine is medium bodied, crisp and complex, reminiscent in style to a good Marlborough sauvignon blanc
Our very popular Rose of Barbera is back! Again it shows a pale salmon hue, fruit forward aroma and hints of stone fruit and melon. Crisp acidity backs up the full palate and lush finish
A temperate growing season resulted in a good crop yielding 3 barrels, 73 cases. Elements of 35% new French oak and a mild tannic structure result in refined and rich aromatics with a light body and delicate palate experience marked by red fruit and distinctive earthy notes with well balanced acidity and notes of cranberry on the palate.
