Pinot Noir
CA - Sonoma County - Sonoma Coast
Tasting Notes
The second-ever vintage, sourced from our coastal vineyard sites, is a vibrant and energetic wine that strikes a perfect balance between juicy red fruits and savory spices. The core flavor of raspberry sorbet, complemented by hints of orange zest and a touch of sea salt, adds layers of complexity. This is all beautifully balanced by bright acidity, which glides effortlessly across the palate, making it exceptionally refreshing and food-friendly.
Winemaking Notes
The Sonoma Coast was sourced from our coastal vineyard sites. The varying micro climates at each site lend beautiful and complex layers to this wine that becomes a true blend of their unique personalities. Fermented in open topped tanks of various shapes and sizes, the texture of the wine, along with the fresh aromatics, steal the show. There was 18% whole cluster included to help bring tension and length to the palette. The barrels used for the vinification were also carefully selected to elevate the aromatics all while keeping new French oak levels low. Coopers included were Cadus, Leroi, Louis Latour, Taransaud and Vicard Generation 7; 30% of the oak was new.
