Our unique chillable red wine is crafted from the historic DeChaunac grape, a French American hybrid. Sourced from the renowned Patrician Verona Vineyard on Cayuga Lake, planted in 1973, the dark red fruit is picked early and pressed into red juice. Fermented on used Chardonnay skins, it bridges the gap between light red and orange wines. With an amber-garnet hue reminiscent of orange wine, it offers aromas of cranberry, fresh cherry, and rose. The palate is refreshingly balanced with medium acidity, a broad midpalate, and light tannins, featuring flavors of blood orange and cherries. Best enjoyed chilled.
