Made from grapes grown in Woodbury County - right here at Oscar Carl Vineyard! How we chose the name: Loess (pronounced "Luss") is a type of dirt that is unique to our little corner of the world. Considered a National Treasure, this silty clay is only found in a similar quantity in China. So, with wine made in the Moscato style, from a vineyard in the Loess Hills, "Loesscato" was the logical name. Of course!
