The first of its kind to be made in the USA, Orchard Hill Ten66 Reserve is inspired by the typical Norman, French aperitif. It is named for the year of the Norman invasion of England (1066). This intense, rich and complex aperitif was bottled after 4 to 7 years barrel aging. It is a more concentrated and richer version of our original Ten66. Winner of the Good Foods Award this pommeau is a very special treat. Description: following the Norman tradition, we use brandy distilled from our cider and aged in used french oak barrique to blend with our estate juice for extended aging Appearance: rich tawny color, medium clarity, unfiltered Flavor Profile: sweet rich and lingering on the palate, persistent and warming Apple Varieties: Macintosh for brandy. For blending juice, varieties include: Empire, Northern Spy, Gold Rush, Cortland, Esopus Spitzenburg, Jonamac, Crispin, Jonagold, Ida Red, Macintosh, Golden Delicious PAIRING The intense character pairs beautifully with rich foods like dark chocolate, fois gras, jamon serrano. The apple character complements apple tarte tatin perfectly. TIPS Made for sipping... and hard to share!
