Named for the 99 steps our winemaker Drew took up the hill to get to our Syrah block during our first harvest, this wine represents both the journey and ambition behind our family story. Sourced from Fulldraw Vineyard on Paso’s West Side, this 100% Syrah aged 18 months in 50% new French oak. Its bold, layered nose opens with scorched earth, coffee, and sugarcane, balanced by rich rhubarb pie, black cherry, and violets. The palate is lively yet grounded, with notes of black and pimento pepper, boysenberry, and bright pomegranate acidity. Mid-palate tannins carry cocoa and coconut, leading to a long, savory finish reminiscent of seared filet mignon.
