Two George Cyder Dry with a hint of citrus, this bittersharp colonial-style cider aims at authenticity, as in pre-revolutionary times. Made entirely from the fruit of apple trees whose 18th century heritage is tracible to the colonies, Two George Cyder is a still cider, with just a little “petulance” that would have accompanied colonial ciders drawn from the cask into bottles moments before serving. Pleasantly refreshing, this cider reveals its pedigree with an unmistakable nose of fragrant apple, and the taste of crisp, clean tannins that are subtly reminiscent of nutmeg. This is a very drinkable cider, although best when chilled, and one which we especially recommend for Thanksgiving and the 4th of July, just to get into the spirit of things. It pairs well with wild game, aged cheese, stronger fish like sardines and anchovy, and pork of all descriptions. 8% ABV Available in .75liter.
