Blanc de Noir We grow the Champagne region Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier dark-skinned grapes, and then press them early in the season for their white juice. The result is a wonderful sparkling wine with more body than our Blanc de Blanc (Chardonnay), and just a hint of the original color of the grape skins. We cultivate, side-by-side, both of these seminal pinot grapes to create a true Blanc de Noirs a la méthode champenoise. Confidentially, we don’t’ believe any grapes other than the pinots should go into making blanc des noirs. Perhaps, admittedly, there is a place for a hint of Chardonnay among the Pinots in sparkling Blanc de Noirs, but the jury is out on that one. 11.5% ABV Available in .75liter.

Notes

We make our Blanc de Noirs from 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Pinot Meunier. This is truly a blanc des deux noirs.
Our 2021 is the debut for this singular sparkling wine, grown in the ideal climate of the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia..
