Gold PNW Wine Comp
GOLD MEDAL WINNER in the 2023 Pacific NW Wine Competition!
Dark maroon with blue undertones in color, this wine is redolent of black currants and plums, baking spices and bay leaves, with floral notes of violets.
In the mouth, it has a medium-full body with velvety low tannins, a long finish, is slightly tart, tasting of plums and dark fruits, with a mild earthiness suggesting mushrooms and forest floor.
Pair it with appetizers such as olives, cheeses, meat, mushrooms, and various charcuterie. It will go well with a variety of hearty foods such as tomato based Italian foods, roasted fall and winter vegetables, grilled or roasted fowl, stews and cassoulet, grilled veal, pork, or lamb, beef, seared or blackened salmon. This wine could be held for several more years, but is ready to drink now.
