This wine has a purple robe that evolves as time goes by, from a deep garnet to a deep ruby red. After a few years, it develops aromas of iris, faded roses, spices of ripe fruit with an undertone of wood and truffles; they are tannic and robust. Younger they are floral and fruity, with the aromas of violets, black currants and cherries.
On the palate, the finesse of the tannins, along with the breadth and minerality give this Beaujolais wine its nobility and prestige with a robust and complex mouth. Best paired with red meat, cheese and charcuterie (delicatessen meats).
