Mad Violets 2021 Willamette Valley Chardonnay
207 cases produced
The fruit is sourced from the Koosah vineyard in the Eola Amity AVA and the Belle Colline Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains AVA.
They are picked together and fermented separately. It is barrel fermented and then aged in 30% new French oak for fourteen months, which results in an elegant integration of oak and fruit.
The wine is the pale color of straw with chartreuse flecks dancing through it. The nose is beeswax, linalool, fresh pineapple and lemon zest. The pallet is rich with notes of toasted almond and vanilla bean, but bright with notes of citrus and fresh peach.
