It’s bountiful aromas of melon, citrus, and honeysuckle combined with a balanced crispness allows for our winemakers to truly express their talents. To tame the acidity, yet preserve the aromatics, our 2019 Vignoles was fermented in stainless steel tanks then transferred to used oak barrels for 5 months to age.
Black cherry, spice and dark chocolate seductively caress the nose in the full bodied wine. Red berries and vanilla in the mouth combine with firm tannins before leaving a long, beautiful finish. Drink or hold through 2022.
Our Petit Verdot is 100% estate grown in the thin shale filled soils facing the winery. This dry, full bodied win is intensely rich with dark fruit on the palate. Barrel aging in 100% French oak contributes to its strong tannin structure and long finish.
Named for Maryland, the seventh state, this delicate blend entices the senses with notes of strawberries, raspberries, and Honeycrisp apples. A delightfully smooth mouthfeel ends with a balanced crispness that pairs perfectly with appetizers, soft cheeses, and fresh fruit.
Bacioni, Italian for Big Kiss, is a light red blend. Berry nose gives way to a complex combination of red fruit, white pepper and oak with floral notes.
Lighter style Chianti.
Complements pasta dishes, pepper jack cheese, BBQ food such as pulled pork and ribs and red meats.

This wine is named in honor of our father John “Jack” Aellen, who co-founded the winery with our mother back in 1976. Harvested after frost form the secondaries of our block “C” Melody vineyard and stopping the fermentation at 8% alcohol, leaving 7% natural residual sugar, creates this delightful semisweet white wine.
ESTATE BOTTLED. Crisp citrus nose leading to a refreshing, light bodied wine with lively acidity throughout. Similar to Pinot Grigio.
