Although the origins of the Catawba grape are obscure, it was popular from Maryland down to the Carolinas in the early 19th century. Our Catawba is produced as a white wine and expresses sweet aromas of lychee fruit with modest acidity on the palette. Catawba pairs well with regional favorites such as oysters, scallops and hard cheeses.
