Notes

Aged 12 months in previously used French and American Oak barrels. It has a deep Ruby Red color that is concentrated highlighted with purple hues.  The bouquet opens with aromas of dark berries and fresh herbs.  The modest regimen of oak adds the slightest hint of smoke and spice.  The mouthfeel is dry, medium plus viscosity with plenty of velvety soft tannins.  The palate opens to a mouthful of plums, rhubarb and dark plum.  With a little time, it picks up hints of violets, cedar, cassis with hints of licorice.  The finish is dry, full of character with a lasting balance of fruit, light oak and herbal undertones.  The light regimen of oak showcases the beautiful fruit characteristics of Cabernet Sauvignon while allowing it to be very approachable.
