A touch of dusty, earthy character with a kiss of leather. Winemaker Notes: Tempranillo has quickly become one of our bench- mark wines here at Indian Creek Winery. We first started making single barrel batches of the variety in 2008, planted our own in 2014, and have settled in to making about 10 barrels of Tempranillo every vintage. Enjoy this Reserve Estate 2-barrel select. Winemaking Notes: The fruit was picked in the early AM and crushed/destemmed promptly. The must was then cold soaked on the skins for 3 days and inoculated with yeast. Fermentation lasted about 9 days after which the wine was pressed, and racked to Barrels. The wine was then inoculated with malolactic bacteria for secondary fermentation, racked again after secondary fermentation finished, and aged for a total of 16 months. The wine was bottled in March 2023.
