Fruit for this Petit Verdot wine comes from our original winery vineyard. The climate of the Rattlesnake Hills AVA is optimal for the full ripening of this normally late variety. Look for deep intense color and heady aromas with a hint of vanilla and spiciness. Flavors are mouth-filling and robust with notes of black friar plums, dark ripe cherries and often violets. You might even find notes of black pepper and cardamom spice. This wine pairs well with lamb and pork, especially chops with a red wine reduction.
