This full-bodied wine spent a total of 21 months in Slovakian oak. Aromas of blackberries, bramble, blackcurrants, and plum are interlaced with mineral aromas of matchstick, flint, coffee, and cigar box. There is a heavy black fruit character on the palate with good acidity, followed by clove, toast, earth, and wet leaves with a lengthy savory finish.
