This beautiful mead has the aroma of fresh brewed coffee which follows through on your tongue combining two wonderful experiences, good coffee and perfect mead. We fermented coffee with local Virginia wildflower honey for a true mead with ingredients that are together from the beginning. We find this to be the best way for flavors to grow and compliment each other. If you enjoy coffee, and you are a mead lover, this is the best of both worlds handcrafted here at Hill Top, the oldest meadery in Virginia. In case you were wondering about the name, this is a tribute to our smart and lovable Hill Top donkeys and an actual drawing of our Mammoth Saddle Donkey, Josey. A portion of the proceeds for this mead will be donated to Hope's Legacy Equine Rescue!
