Our 2013 Syrah is a single vineyard wine from Chavez Vineyards in the Antelope Valley of the California High Desert, AVA. The best of both worlds this wine was aged for 12 months separately in American and French Oak and then blended 50/50 for the final wine. It is full-bodied with dark, rich fruit. Ripe raspberry and Vanilla notes on the palate with rounded oak and soft tannin notes on the finish. Drinks well with grilled meats and veggies, as well as wild game and richly flavored stews and roasts. Also excellent with meat lovers pizza or tomato based pastas.
