Our winemaker, Brian Graham, has a special love for Tempranillo and has made a beautiful expression of the varietal from our vineyard which has already received recognition. Recently our 2021 Reserve Tempranillo won Texas Class Champion/Double Gold at the San Antonio Rodeo. We are proud of our Tempranillo and are excited to see it earn accolades in blind tastings.
The wine is lively and opens on the nose with fresh plum, pomegranate, and hints of dried fennel. The palate entry is full of energy with the expressive terroir notes of boysenberry, clove, and dried tobacco. For food pairings, carnitas and chili balance the wine.
Syrah has been the cornerstone of our vineyard since the very beginning. The second vintage of our Reserve Syrah showcases our special expression of the varietal with intense berry fruit flavor. Only 4 barrels of the small lot production Reserve Syrah were made.
The FCV Cuvée is a Syrah-dominate blend whose components can vary year to year based on the winemaker’s discretion. The 2021 vintage had a little more Merlot which added roundness to the mid-palate and makes for a charmingly balanced wine.
This dry rosé offers a beautifully expressive floral nose of guava, melon, tart kiwi with a hint of ground cardamom and sassafras. The entry is dominated by ripe citrus and melon. A hint of strawberry compote finishes out this classic, dry rosé.
Hillside is a beautiful proprietary blend of the varieties that thrive on the gentle slope of our estate vineyard. The goal of this blend is to allow the terroir of our unique site to shine through and to express a true reflection of how each year's growing conditions influence the resulting wine.
This blend was inspired by the Rhône-style wines of France. Ripe raspberry and plum notes open on the nose along with hints of five spice and tarragon. The Winemaker’s Blend is elegantly bodied and reflects a red and black medley of fruits including black plum, candied cherries and fig.
