Notes

The Grape: A rare delicious Rhone variety with only 7 acres planted in Sonoma County. It is sometimes found as a component of some red and rosé Rhone wines. Frick Cinsaut Is grown in the Dry Creek Valley of Sonoma County. Characteristics of the grape are large olive shaped berries, lush red fruit flavors and very soft tannin.

The Vineyard: Frick's Estate Owl Hill Vineyard is the hill to the west of the winery.  The soil is rock, gravel and clay from decomposed Dry Creek Conglomerate.  At this location vines have low vigor and produce grapes that have complex fruit flavor.

The Wine:
Delicious rendition of the cinsaut grape. Harvested early for optimum rosé wine balance. Direct press with short skin contact for a very light blush and old-world elegance. Sipping a cold glass is like an Island Holiday. This is a 100% estate grown cinsaut rosé. Harvested to be a more delicate European style rosé.  Fresh aromatics. Crisp refreshment with layers of tropical and red fruit flavors. Only 70 cases made. Drink now to 2022.

Serve with: scampi, gulf blue fish, summer fruit salad, arugula pecorino salad, pea soup, sand dabs, fresh peach pie, pouched salmon, chicken taco, miso soup, tuna salad sandwich, pan fried scallops, goat cheese fritters, chicken breast browned in butter, pimento cheese on crackers
