Vineyard: Our Presidents Reserve Syrah is grown and harvested at the Fresno State Vineyards on the University campus here at California State University, Fresno. Tasting Notes: Dark purple-red. Aromas of strawberry, pomegranate, and red cherry marry with a complex bouquet of earth, mineral, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Strong flavors of berry and black cherry are followed by supple tannin and a smooth lasting finish. Wine Making: Cold soaked 72 hours, fermented with Pasteur Red Yeast, light press only. Aged in 50% new and 50% 1 and 2 year old French and American oak barrels for 18 months.
