Our new limited release black currant cider is wonderfully different and refreshing on its own, however, the inspiration for its creation leaves room for some fun experimentation. The black currant cider was inspired by the Snakebite in Black beertail, which originated in the UK. A regular Snakebite is typically equal parts lager and hard cider. A Snakebite in Black, adds a shot of currant liqueur to the mix. In the US it is commonly done with Guiness, carefully poured on top of hard cider to create two distinct strata. However, with the craft beer renaissance, the possibilities are endless. Mix up and enjoy!
