The mythical Phoenix symbolizes renewal and resilience - a process of rising from the ashes. This wine was crafted to embody that spirit and to serve a noble cause. A project conceived out of love, gratitude, and admiration, it took on new purpose when wildfires swept through northern California in October 2017. We produced this wine to benefit the children at the Anova Center for Education. Anova, a school for students with autism, was destroyed by the fires. Destroyed along with the school was a brand new, specialized playground. After a 3-year fundraising campaign, the new playground had been delivered just days before the fire. It hadn’t even made it out of the box. All of the proceeds from the sale of this wine will go towards replacing that playground, so the kids can have a safe, appropriate place to play. As it rises from the ashes, Anova has adopted the Phoenix as its new mascot.
