Monastrell is a red grape with origins from Spain. In France, it’s known as Mouvèdre. This grape thrives in the warm and dry, desert-like climate of eastern Washington. The grapes for this Monastrell are from Stone Tree vineyard which is a rockier, higher elevation site in the Wahluke Slope. This is a beautiful medium to full bodied wine with an intense ruby color and generous tannins. The nose is laced with aromas of blackberry, boysenberry, plum and floral driven aromatics. Enjoy this wine now or allow it to evolve with cellar aging.
