A Dry Red table wine this is our only offering that is not crafted from a cold climate cultivar. This grape was finished in our winery by aging in oak barrels before bottling. We are proud to serve it with the Cold Country label. This wine goes great with red meat or chocolate.
This Semi-Sweet table wine comes from a University of Minnesota variety that has white wine lovers all over the Midwest talking about its amazing character. This wine is headed for greatness with its notes of tangerine and apricot and its distinctive floral aroma. Our 2013 won double Gold in the International Cold Climate Wine Competition.
Made from our very own Frontenac Gris, this limited release is a real treasure of the north. Picked on our first blustery cold day of the coming winter, this wine is for the true believers that good things can come from the cold. A sweet white blessed with an overabundance of apricot, green apple and peach. You have to try it to believe it.
The Frontenac Blanc is the third varietal to make the Ice Wine lineup at Cold Country. This wine was picked at a whopping 40 brix. What that means to you is amazing balance and complexity. This wine has a burst of stone fruit and melon in the nose, with notes of passion fruit, honey, and green apple that combine to make a spectacular finish.
Frontenac Noir is the fourth varietal to make the Ice Wine lineup at Cold Country. This wine was picked at a whopping 42 brix. What that means to you is amazing balance and complexity. This wine has lightly spiced aromatics of dark berry and cherry, with rich overtones of butterscotch and caramel.
This Cabernet grape was grown on Red Mountain in Washington. It is a powerful wine of extreme complexity. There are notes of caramel, vanilla, and sweet spice flavors. It was aged in a Elijah Craig bourbon barrel for 12 months. This is a bold, flavorful wine, unlike any other Cabernet you ever tasted.
jk Merlot is a delicious blend of 70% Lodi Merlot, 20% Red Mountain Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. It is a very crisp clean cab with medium French Oak. Very fruit forward and smooth across the palette.
