An amazingly easy wine to sip, drink, guzzle on its own, but goes well with many foods. It is loaded with dark berry flavors and is the epitome of the Barbera d'Alba style wine with hints if cherry, raspberry, earth and plum.
A bright and bold new addition to our Sangiovese lineup. With its 2018 predecessor being a stellar example of Italian acidity and California structure, the 2019 vintage did not disappoint. Complex aromas of ripe Cherries, Black Licorice and fresh soil, with loads of red and black fruit, herbs and spices. Another remarkable vintage to enjoy!
An in your face treat! Loaded with red berry flavors, subtle white pepper and built with a long finish. Due to its naturally high acid, this Barbera can go alone or pair with your favorite pasta, pizza or meat dishes. Saluté!
**LIBRARY SELECTION **
The best of Italy and California come together in this wonderful expression of the 2018 vintage. Complex aromas of ripe cherries, black licorice, and fresh soil; loads of red and black fruit, herbs and spices, and a pleasant balance of tannin and acidity. This is the quintessential pizza/pasta wine.
Concentrated aromas of blackberry and black currant fuse with hints of eucalyptus and black cherry. Classic Cab flavors immediately emerge as the wine hits the palate. Boysenberry, red and black currant with just a hint of huckleberry and cocoa are interwoven with a subtle forest floor essence, which adds depth and dimension. Integrating tannins and oak frame the plush flavors, reining them in yet they persist into the long finish.
This Bordeaux inspired, Italian Styled, prize fighter of a wine pushes way above its weight class with 15 rounds of fruit and spice, roses and oak. It's oh so nice! A blend of Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Sauvignon. On the nose - cedar and herbal notes from the Cabernet Franc, a mix of dark berries from the Cabernet Sauvignon, and a rustic essence from the Sangiovese. Luscious flavors of blackberry, cherry and black currant. Mocha, forest floor and just a trace of eucalyptus join in near the finish as the wine lingers.
One barrel was selected to become the Riserva.
after 20 months of aging in a used barrel.
It was then moved to a new Hungarian Oak barrel for an additional 18 months, gaining weight and texture and amplified aromatics.
It should age for another 5+ years, but is tasting delizioso now.
The 2021 Grenache from Moon Mountain District, Sonoma is a veritable moon shot to the heart of flavor. On the nose an enticing scent of sandalwood with savory notes of blueberry pie, black tea, and a touch of white pepper. On the palate notes of Mexican chocolate, warm fig newton, rhubarb, and nutmeg. Nice overall balance and texture with great length of finish. Pair with a hearty Moroccan lamb stew.
This is our take on a "Super Tuscan". A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Sangiovese (40%), named after the town the Colagrossi Family originates....... San Marco La Catola, Puglia.
It is rich, smooth and easy to drink. The Sangiovese gives it a nice bump in acid, which extends the finish, leaving you wanting more.
