This is one of our favorite and most popular dry red wines with distinct flavors of cherry cola, red licorice, and strawberry. It is full-bodied, with a savory, rich fruit taste. It is best paired with any Italian tomato-based dish, pizza or rich-roasted meat or cured
sausages and hard cheeses.
Notes
Initially planted in Texas in the 1960’s, this grape has become one of Texas’ favorite local wines. Originating in Tuscany, it grows extremely well in Texas and retains all the characteristics
of a good Italian Chianti. This wine grape was grown in the Texas High Plains AVA where warm days and cool nights help to develop the traditional flavors and aromas of this classic style wine.
