The legacy and time-honored craft of 8 generations are an integral part of us skillfully refining the progressive style of our Grand Vintage, "Mille." We cultivate select plots from our 45 year old vines in Vertus. The composition includes the elegance and finesse of Chardonnay combined with the roundness, structure and body of Pinot Noir. A precise blend of 85% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Noir combined with over 9 full years on fine lees reveals the ultimate expression of Vertus.
The name “Mille” comes from its French origin of 1,000. This limited release of Mille is only 1,000 bottles and every part of the process is done by hand with patience and precision. From hand picking the fruit onto the hand application of one of the most intricate and unique packages to brace the market, every process and detail of this cuvée is meticulous, reliant on the magic of time, and yields an incomparable result of finesse, balance and complexity.
