Named for our oldest son, Theron is a young, fresh, and beautiful wine. The 2017 vintage was nearly perfect - it started out cool, warmed up in the middle for great ripening, then cooled off again around harvest time. We harvested our Grenache for the rose program earlier than we do for our red program to capitalize on its fresh, fruity characteristics. Following 24 hours skin contact, we pressed the beautiful pale, pink juice to tank for fermentation. Careful to keep oxygen exposure to a minimum, we fermented and aged the wine in 100% stainless steel.
Fresh, fruity, and bone dry, our Grenache rose has notes of pink grapefruit, pomegranate, and spice.
