This Merlot is our winemaker's favorite. It is 85% Merlot from Livermore Valley's Thatcher Bay Vineyard and 15% Livermore Cabernet Sauvignon. Medium bodied Merlot with fruit forward notes and a nice acid balance. A casual drinking wine with soft tannin finish, velvety licorice back notes with both boysenberry and blueberry hints. It has firm tannins and structure. It is a lovely now but will be even better in 2 to 3 years. (14.4% alcohol).
