Made in a rustic Italian style this is a tribute to the winemakers Italian great grandfather Raffaele Verderico the son of Donato. Ample flavors of bright bing cherry followed by an aromatic surge of violets and cranberry. Sound tannins make this wine ready to drink, but the acidity shows its ability to age. di Donato is 100% Sangiovese from Stillwater Creek Vineyard. It was barrel aged for 16 months in 100% Neutral French Oak.
