Current notes: Concentrated, dark and moody. Marquette has this red/black fruit dichotomy going for it - kind of like Pinot v. Syrah. I am so pleased with how this wine has evolved. Lots of structure, velvety mouthfeel, and really delicious savory and fruit flavors.
From release: 100% Marquette from Tycoga Vineyards in DeWitt, Iowa. Field-destemmed and fermented in small batches. Aged in neutral oak for 20 months.
Rich, bright and layered, with notes of crunchy cranberry and warm tree bark.
